St. Patrick's Day dessert

Sister wanted a cookie.

She convinced me that this one
would NOT be approved by Mr. Monk
and so she must eat it.

Because it is less-than-perfect.

I need it.
For our St. Patrick's dessert.

Can you guess what it is?

ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!
Filed with green mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I made enough to share
with the bee club.

I'll bet you wish you were a beekeeper now.

Happy Pi Day!

We are nerdy.

That's right.

We own it!

Ice cream pie:
vanilla ice cream,
layer of crunchy peanut butter,
vanilla ice cream,
graeter's bittersweet fudge sauce on top.

Yum!
Perfect for celebrating MATH!

Sweet enough for everyone.

And just in case there are not enough
photos of GUS,

In like a lion...

Taken last night:

and this morning:

Waking up to snow on March 11
is NOT inspiring.

Let's just hope the out like a lamb part is true.

Why?

Why is it that a person can suffer
from exhaustion
and insomnia
at the same time,
thus rendering them
absolutely useless
even as they are over-committed
with obligations
and desperately needing a vacation?

Anyone else feeling the same way?
Anyone?

Anyone?

Cleopatra in Cincinnati

When entertaining guests from France,
take them to see the Cleopatra exhibit
at the Cincinnati Museum Center.

It is a lovely art deco building
and boasts beautiful mosaics.

No photos allowed in the actual exhibit.

But the gift shop...

Who wore it best?

And then,
to continue with the culture of the day,
a trip to P.F. Chang's,

It is so exciting to read our fortunes.

Some people get SO excited, they blur for the camera!

I don't remember all the fortunes,
but I remember we had a good time.

My favorite part of the exhibit?
A document written in Cleopatra's hand.
Go see it for yourself.

Coolest tea party ever!

I found this on-line.

I think it is SO cool!

Look how clever...
sugar cubes on top,
pour cream from the spout.

Just to be clear...
I don't WANT this,
I prefer the pretty old stuff from Aunt Nancy.
But I can still appreciate good design.
